HVAC Systems Manager

Crothall Healthcare, a division of Compass Group USA, is seeking a skilled HVAC Systems Manager to join its team. This role is responsible for the administration and maintenance of all HVAC systems, refrigeration systems, air handling systems, Central Plant equipment, and various other electro-mechanical systems located throughout the medical facilities.

The ideal candidate will have thorough knowledge of engineering, plant operations methods, techniques, maintenance, applicable codes and regulations, and use of departmental equipment and supplies. They will also possess principles of management and supervision and procedures and policies of departments and facility.

Key responsibilities include assisting the Director of Plant Operations in the planning, organization, and controls activities of the HVAC Shop, maintaining the flow and quality of work to assure timely completion of assigned workload, and assisting with the preparation and maintenance of various department records in compliance with The Joint Commission, Department of Health Standards, local authorities, and other regulatory agencies.

The successful candidate will also work with the Director in the coordination of construction and renovation programs for the facility, monitor and inspect employee work performance to assure performance standards are maintained through the use of the computer maintenance management system, and orient and train new employees and provide continuing guidance and on-the-job training to all assigned personnel.

Requirements include five years of work experience and completion of advanced courses related to management skills and to engineering and the functions of the department. The ability to read, comprehend, and transmit complicated detailed instructions in writing and verbally is also essential, as is adequate knowledge of basic computer skills and previous HVAC experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.
