The Community Clinician plays a crucial role in collaborating with family teams to ensure that young individuals receive the necessary level of support in a community-based, family-oriented environment. This involves securing continuity of care and nurturing positive relationships with key adults in their lives.
This position presents a unique opportunity to deliver both clinical services and advocacy for youth and their families.
Responsibilities include:
- Conducting weekly in-person support sessions for caregivers, focusing on trauma-informed psychoeducation and therapeutic parenting strategies.
- Providing clinical consultation to all professionals involved in the youth's care.
- Facilitating regular, clinically-informed team meetings.
- Training other professionals on trauma-informed treatment models.

Our Enhanced Clinical Community Support Program includes specialized training on clinical topics such as the Attachment, Regulation, Competency (ARC) Framework, Sensory Motor Arousal Regulation Treatment (SMART), and Theraplay.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct clinical support services to caregivers, caseworkers, and support teams for a caseload of 7-10 youth.
- Organize and lead monthly clinical team meetings with youth, caregivers, and caseworkers.
- Maintain consistent communication with assigned casework agencies and relevant parties to identify needs and barriers.
- Provide counseling and coaching to caregivers on trauma and the promotion of healthy attachments.
- Collaborate with the child and family team to create and adjust personalized plans for the youth and caregivers.
- Utilize trauma-informed interventions to address the diverse clinical needs of children and families.
- Ensure timely documentation of all clinical activities.
- Offer ongoing clinical consultation to case management staff and caregivers.
- Advocate for youth needs in various settings.
- Consult regularly with supervisors and other service entities to meet the mental health and wellbeing needs of youth and families.
- Travel as needed for in-person sessions with families.
Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in social work or a related field.
- LCSW or LCPC licensure preferred, but not required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings.
- Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
- Valid driver's license and access to a minimally insured vehicle.
