About the Role

Mettler Toledo is seeking a highly skilled Field Service Technician to join our team. As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for providing world-class support to our customers through start-ups, audits, maintenance, repair, and training of Safeline x-ray, metal detectors, and Hi-Speed Checkweighers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Satisfy all safety requirements for both MT-PI and customer sites
  • Attend daily tier calls led by a Regional Service Manager
  • Efficiently execute scheduled service calls as directed from Dispatch or Management while taking into account cost, time, and customer needs/expectations
  • Develop and maintain good customer relationships; become the customer's trusted advisor
  • Identify root cause of service issues (first time fix)
  • Accurately complete and submit all service reports and documentation per service activity, timesheets, and expense reports in a timely manner
  • Keep up with ongoing technical training
  • Weekend/afterhours work as required based on workload and rotation
  • Overnight travel as required - Travel 100%
  • Maintain company supplied equipment, tools, and inventory
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or a GED required
  • Associate of Science in Electronics or Engineering Technology, or equivalent work experience preferred
