Job Title: Field Service Technician

South Western Communications is seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to join our team. As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining electronic communication systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install and service communication systems in an efficient and effective manner to minimize downtime and maximize performance.
  • Communicate system performance to customers and provide training on the proper use of equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electronic components, and perform preventive maintenance on customer equipment.
  • Assist with inventory management and track time sheets, service/installation tickets, and inventory items accurately.
Requirements:
  • A two-year electronics degree or equivalent combination of education and 1-3 years related field experience.
  • A working knowledge of communications systems, including VoIP, data networks, CCTV, and sound systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work with diverse groups and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Valid and current driver's license.
Working Conditions:

Employees are required to stand, walk, climb, sit, and use hands and fingers. Some light lifting of objects up to 50 lbs is required. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, and occasional outside activities are subject to seasonal temperature fluctuations.
