Job Title: Account Manager of Custodial Services

At Clean Tech Company, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Account Manager of Custodial Services to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to work with a reputable company that has been providing professional custodial maintenance services for over 50 years.

Job Summary:

The Account Manager of Custodial Services will be responsible for coordinating and supervising all aspects of daily and periodic cleaning in educational complexes. This includes supervising supervisors and head custodians, admin assistants, and custodians, determining appropriate staffing levels required for work projects, and meeting with occupants to monitor and ensure standards of cleanliness.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise daily work of assistant supervisors and custodians, manage a staff, and inspect all assigned areas daily to ensure work is being carried out properly and orderly.
  • Evaluate performance of custodial personnel, prepare and submit disciplinary action and incident reports, and counsel employees.
  • Designate shift and area work assignments for custodians and lead personnel, interpret contracts, conduct training programs for custodians, and implement new procedures and policies.
  • Maintain records and correspondence, prepare reports, submit purchase requisitions for supplies, maintain supply inventory and accounts, contact vendors, and prepare and submit progress reports on building conditions.
  • Establish and monitor working relationships with students, faculty, staff, co-workers, and visitors.
  • Coordinate various cleaning projects, receive equipment, uniforms, and paper orders, operate all cleaning equipment, and coordinate setup for events on all campuses and ensure proper staffing.
Requirements:
  • Five years of facilities management experience in commercial real-estate, institutional, or academic settings.
  • Ability to develop and implement policies and procedures related to general business operations, facilities management, and personnel.
  • Ability to monitor and control operational costs while maintaining high performance standards.
  • Working knowledge of construction management, architectural design principles, building codes, and inspection procedures.
  • Leadership of diverse work groups with ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships at all levels.
  • Skills in conducting high-level meetings, conflict-resolution, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to be on-call and respond nights or weekends for emergency situations.
Travel and Physical Requirements:

Minimal travel is required. Ability to walk throughout the campus, lift up to 60 lbs, and operate carpet extractor, floor buffers, and various cleaning equipment.
