Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Custodial Supervisor to join our team at Greenville County Schools. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our buildings and grounds, ensuring a safe and clean environment for our students and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and direct the custodial staff, assigning work schedules and evaluating their performance
  • Conduct daily inspections of buildings and grounds to ensure cleanliness, orderliness, and safety
  • Responsible for opening and closing buildings and gates, monitoring the security system, and performing routine repairs
  • Order custodial supplies and equipment, and maintain inventory
  • Work collaboratively with the custodial staff and other facilities management team members to achieve our goals
Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Successful experience as a custodian or in a related field
  • Ability to direct and supervise staff
  • Working knowledge of custodial supplies and equipment
  • Understanding of building maintenance and repair

Reports To

This position reports directly to the Custodial Specialist or Plant Engineer

Terms of Employment

This is a 12-month position with a salary in Group D, Support/Hourly Salary Schedule
