Mount Prospect Academy (MPA) is a dynamic organization formed in 2003, dedicated to assisting adolescents facing challenges in their lives. Our mission is to help these young individuals discover their potential and thrive in various aspects of life.
MPA provides a wide range of mental health services tailored to meet the needs of a diverse group of adolescents who may be considered 'hard to treat' or 'difficult to place.' Our comprehensive services include:

Academic Services:
At MPA, we believe in a holistic approach to education. Our academic programs are designed to cater to the unique needs of students who have struggled in traditional educational settings. We offer:

Role Responsibilities:
The Educational Support Specialist will collaborate closely with the Education Team to ensure a safe and supportive learning environment for students. Key responsibilities include:
- Providing individualized support to assigned students
- Assisting educators in delivering instruction and supervising students
- Maintaining documentation such as attendance and incident reports
- Supporting students during transitional periods and lunch
- Participating in community-based activities as needed
- Engaging in professional development training
- Attending student meetings, including IEPs and ITPs
- Representing MPA positively to the community and stakeholders
