Job Title: Quality Assurance Specialist II

Vertafore is seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Specialist II to join our team in Michigan. As a key member of our quality assurance team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of our software solutions.

Job Summary

The Quality Assurance Specialist II will be responsible for designing and implementing test plans to ensure that our software functions as expected to meet or exceed customer standards. You will work closely with our development teams to provide the best products for our valued customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify functional risk and develop test plans to mitigate it
  • Assess risk for business/customer impact and communicate with senior QA analysts
  • Provide input on user acceptance criteria and prioritize risk and test cases
  • Review test scenarios, test plans, and test cases to ensure coverage of specific features or aspects of the product
  • Write and check own test cases for quality and submit for review
  • Conduct systems set-up and maintain test environments
  • Complete manual front-end user testing of features or aspects of products and identify opportunities for automation
  • Participate in code reviews and communicate with software engineers to ensure front-end test coverage
  • Identify bugs or defects, troubleshoot issues, and verify bug fixes
  • Document test cases, test results, and release notes
Requirements
  • College degree preferred
  • Detail-oriented with ability to handle multiple strategic projects and priorities
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Analytical skills with technical aptitude for developing automation
Additional Requirements
  • Travel required up to 5% of the time
  • Located and working from an office location when required
  • Ability to work remote with a stable internet connection on an as-needed basis
  • Occasional lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds
  • Frequent repetitive hand and arm movements required to operate a computer
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision
  • Frequent sitting and/or standing
