Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team at Adient US LLC. As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our products and processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine checks, tests, and inspections of materials, goods in process, and finished assemblies to ensure they meet quality standards.
  • Conduct inspections for suppliers to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Determine the disposition of nonconforming material and report results to the Quality Engineer.
  • Use proper gauges and equipment to evaluate product quality.
  • Perform daily line audits and product audits as assigned.
  • Record results of audits and provide feedback to the Line Supervisor and Quality Engineer.
  • Assess situations and make necessary decisions with the Quality Engineer to ensure production continues smoothly.
  • Issue supplier material rejection reports and notify suppliers of initial issues.
  • Participate in ISO 16949 and A2LA audits and proficiency testing.
  • Participate in Gage R&R studies and equipment verification.
  • Perform all roles and responsibilities as defined by the company's policies and procedures.

End of Line Inspector Responsibilities:

  • Review seats to ensure they meet customer and company expectations for visual appearance and functionality.
  • Perform inspections per the posted Operator Description Sheet within the required tact time.
  • Complete all required documentation for communicating issues to supervisors and management.
  • Have good communication skills to help identify and resolve quality issues.
  • Perform JSES inspections and random computerized inspections (where applicable).
  • Collect and report IPPM data.

Requirements:

  • High school or technical education required.
  • Electrical or mechanical trades a plus.
  • 2 years of automotive experience preferred.
