We are currently seeking an experienced Bridge Project Engineer to join our Southwest Region team in Texas. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in bridge design, analysis, and construction, as well as excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform and supervise calculations and analysis for designing bridge and transportation structures using various software programs
  • Conduct load ratings on bridges of various types, sizes, and complexities
  • Review and validate calculations and design details developed by others
  • Collaborate with clients and other professionals to deliver projects on time and within budget
  • Develop creative solutions to engineering challenges while ensuring compliance with relevant specifications and standards
  • Review and approve construction-related submittals
  • Organize and maintain project files and documentation
  • Supervise and mentor junior engineers and interns
  • Contribute to the development of marketing materials and proposals for bridge design services

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • Master's degree in Engineering or a related field preferred
  • Valid Professional Engineering licensure (P.E.)
  • 6-9 years of experience in bridge design and engineering
  • TxDOT experience is highly desirable
  • Proficiency in MicroStation and other relevant software
  • Strong knowledge of bridge design specifications, including AASHTO and TxDOT standards
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills
