Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Contract Administrator to join our team at SMS group Inc. As a key member of our commercial team, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating site services contracts, commercial activities, and small capital projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate site services contracts supporting SMS foreign entities for work at US sites.
  • Coordinate and support commercial activities with SMS personnel at the project construction site.
  • Manage small capital projects and service contracts, including implementation of end-to-end contract management, financial management, project cost controlling, risk and claims management.
  • Monitor the project from a contractual and commercial perspective.
  • Manage and coordinate contractually compliant communication with the customer and all contractual partners.
  • Ensure the proper processing and implementation of the commercial contract contents.
  • Maintain project overview and ensure commercial project success.
  • Carry out monthly project reporting.
  • Prepare and coordinate consortium contracts and commercial management of consortiums, including payment release, change management, claims management.
  • Assist Commercial Project Managers in construction site coordination and other administrative support for complex projects.
  • Ensure compliance with project management standards and all requirements of the applicable Project Management Guidelines of SMS group.
  • Ensure the accuracy of cost and pricing calculations.
  • Manage the customer's requirements, including timely invoicing.
  • Support in compiling the payment plan and reporting on cash flow.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance or a similar field is preferred. An Associate Degree in a business field combined with a paralegal certification will be considered in lieu of a Bachelor's Degree.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience in a comparable position.
  • Basic understanding of contract language and the ability to negotiate, interpret, and carry out contract terms.
  • Knowledge of project controlling, accounting, finance, and contract management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel, is required.
  • Experience with SAP is preferred.
  • Strong ability to communicate and exercise effective interpersonal skills is necessary.
  • Strong organization skills and attention to detail is necessary.
