Job Title: Contracts Manager

About the Role:
Sargent Electric Company, a leading electrical contracting company, is seeking a skilled Contracts Manager to join our team in Pittsburgh, PA. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for preparing and revising construction contracts, monitoring compliance with contract terms, and collaborating with stakeholders to ensure successful project execution.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and manage contracts to support company goals and objectives.
  • Review and negotiate contract terms and conditions with customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate policies, legal requirements, and industry regulations.
  • Conduct regular contract reviews to identify potential risks and opportunities.
  • Collaborate with legal counsel to mitigate and address contract-related risks.
  • Maintain accurate records of contracts and contract-related documentation.
  • Provide timely responses to contract inquiries and resolve conflicts or disputes.
  • Liaise with internal teams and external parties to ensure clear communication during contract negotiation and project execution.
  • Monitor and manage contract renewals and extensions.
  • Issue guidance to project teams on contract-related matters and risk management.
  • Conduct contract negotiations with customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders to establish terms that serve the company's interests.
  • Administer contract execution risk strategies to avoid legal issues.
  • Prepare contract drafts and amendments using company templates and guidelines.
  • Utilize contract management software and AI tools to manage ongoing negotiations, signed contracts, and timelines.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Law, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional certification as a Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM) or similar demonstration of competency in the field.
  • Strong understanding of contracts legal terminology and industry regulations.
  • Proven experience in contract management or a similar role in the construction and engineering industry.
  • Ability to manage multiple contracts and responsibilities while meeting deadlines.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and negotiation skills.
