Job Summary

CesiumAstro is seeking a highly skilled Senior Material Planner to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our manufacturing operations, you will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive plans to ensure the smooth flow of materials and products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain manufacturing plans, schedules, and project details
  • Identify material requirements, lead times, and shortages for new product introductions and production product lines
  • Collaborate with the purchasing department to evaluate and consider make/buy decisions
  • Coordinate and expedite the flow of materials within internal work centers and external suppliers
  • Analyze inventory and usage to determine procurement quantities and manage raw material inventories
  • Develop work statements and sequencing of data-driven supply chain processes through collaboration and partnership with internal business stakeholders
  • Review, maintain, and monitor ERP data integrity to continuously improve product delivery
  • Ensure procedures and work instructions are conformed to on a consistent basis
  • Provide ad hoc analysis to leadership for the purpose of identifying appropriate material readiness and supply chain risks

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
  • Minimum of 8 or more years of experience in an engineering/manufacturing environment
  • Experience in MRP accuracy, forecasting, and demand creation
  • Working knowledge of reading and interpreting technical drawings
  • Prior experience in analyzing and interpreting technical procedures for planning functions, including PLM to ERP data cleanliness
  • Solid multi-tasking with the ability to manage multiple assignments concurrently
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft suite of products as well as ERP software
