About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Technician to join our multidisciplinary team at Methodist Richardson Medical Center. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional care to patients and contribute to the smooth running of our unit.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist professional nursing personnel in providing patient care, ensuring the safety, comfort, and therapeutic environment of our patients.
  • Take vital signs, collect specimens, and document observations to contribute to the comprehensive care of our patients.
  • Participate in group activities, calls, and treatment planning to promote a collaborative environment and enhance patient outcomes.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Contribute to a positive and supportive team culture by building relationships, promoting open communication, and taking initiative for professional growth.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support certification required.
  • Annual training in management of aggressive patients required.
  • 2 years of experience in a mental health related field with direct patient care responsibilities required.
