We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Country Chief Accountant to join our team at F. Hoffmann-La Roche Gruppe. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for coordinating with our Americas Finance teams to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities- Analyze and communicate consolidated financial reviews, ensuring the accuracy of our financial statements.
- Take ownership of Internal Controls of Financial Reporting (ICFR) documentation and internal controls matters, including the management of IFRS 16 Leasing and accounting aspects.
- Review and approve manual journal entries for posting by our RSS Americas team.
- Manage multiple aspects of Accounts Receivables and Accounts Payables, including debtors ageing and vendor invoices.
- Forecast and manage cash flow requirements, including arranging for necessary fund transfers.
- Manage master data, including Chart of Accounts, Cost Center, and Profit Center.
- Prepare audit-related schedules and documentation, and participate in compliance audits.
- Identify and implement solutions for continuous improvement opportunities in finance operations.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Commerce, or equivalent.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in a related field, with at least 5 years in an Accountant role or audit experience.
- Knowledge of accounting principles and practices, with proficiency in relevant accounting software (preferably SAP).
- Meticulous, independent, proactive, and able to complete tasks within tight deadlines.
- Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to express ideas and expectations clearly.
- Experience in Project Management, either managing projects directly or sponsoring and/or contributing as a key stakeholder.
