Job Title: Chief Financial Officer

Murdock Martell is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Financial Officer to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, the CFO will be responsible for guiding our financial strategy and operations to ensure the organization's continued success.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement financial plans and strategies to achieve organizational goals.
  • Oversee the accounting department, facilities, and payroll to ensure efficient and effective operations.
  • Monitor and analyze financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Provide financial guidance and support to senior leadership and the Board of Directors.
  • Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and laws.
  • Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.
  • Supervise and mentor staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in business, public, and non-profit administration.
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance, MBA or CPA preferred.
  • Minimum 7+ years of senior-level experience managing a budget of over $10 million.
  • 2+ years of experience with Dynamics.
  • Possess strong forecasting and strategic planning ability.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to speak up when necessary.
  • Highly accountable professional with ability to delegate effectively while also providing hands-on support & mentoring.
  • Skilled at taking in a lot of information, sorting out the relevant facts, developing findings, drawing conclusions, and making recommendations.
  • Ability to communicate ideas effectively to others. Willingness and ability to listen, question, think, decide, and respond.
  • Ability to relate to people with disabilities.
  • Strategic thinker who can develop a long-term strategy while balancing near-term priorities.
  • Team player with the skills to develop team members and work as part of a team to collectively solve a problem.
  • Skilled at time management.
  • Proactive and is able to effectively move from the idea stage through implementation.

The salary range for this position is $190k-$240k, based on paying competitively for the size and industry. Individual pay decisions are based on a number of factors, including qualifications for the role, experience level, skillset, and balancing internal equity relative to peers at the company.
