About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Development Engineer In Test to join our team at Medtronic. As a key member of our software development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing software applications and systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define guidelines for writing manual tests and implement coding practices for automated tests.
  • Coordinate technical discussions and problem-solving for software projects and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Coach other engineers on best practices and new technologies and review test designs and test scripts.
  • Test the functionality and performance of software applications or systems software.
  • Develop and execute test plans and scripts designed to detect problems in software applications and systems software.
  • Ensure software applications or systems software meets technical and functional requirements.
  • Perform workflow analysis, document test results, and recommend quality improvements.
  • Work with development to resolve software defects and diagnose/improve product configuration for current and future models.
  • Review test automation frameworks, tools, techniques, and methodologies.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience in at least one programming language (e.g., Java, C, C++, Python) using an embedded development environment.
  • Experience in both white box and black box testing.
  • Solid hands-on experience with automated, semi-automated, and manual testing.

Salary ranges for U.S. locations (excluding Puerto Rico): $64,800.00 - $97,200.00

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location.
