Cardiac Monitoring Specialist

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Cardiac Monitoring Specialist to join our team at CHRISTUS Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for monitoring EKG waveforms and providing accurate documentation of information obtained from cardiac monitoring equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Continuously monitor EKG waveforms and document changes in rhythm
- Report changes according to established protocol
- Provide accurate and timely notification of questionable patterns
- Ensure equipment and supplies are available and ready for use
Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Good written and oral communication skills
- EKG/arrhythmia interpretation background desired
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology
Accreditation and Affiliations:
- Accredited Chest Pain Center
- Accredited Joint Commission Stroke Team
- Teaching facility in affiliation with the Texas A&M University System Health and Science Center College of Medicine
Work Environment:
Our state-of-the-art emergency department, ICU, Cardiac Cath Lab, and surgical suites are located in the Pavilion and North Tower of CHRISTUS Spohn Hospital Corpus Christi - Shoreline, overlooking Corpus Christi Bay.
