The Registered Nurse (RN) plays a vital role in providing exceptional patient care in our fast-paced cardiac unit. As a member of our interdisciplinary team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality care to patients who have undergone cardiac interventions, including stent placement, pacemaker placement, and diagnostic angiograms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Collaborate with cardiologists and hospitalists to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Administer medications, perform procedures, and monitor patient vital signs to ensure safe and effective care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient satisfaction and outcomes.
- Provide education and support to patients and families to promote health and wellness.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a current Texas State RN License.
- One year of experience in nursing, preferably in a cardiac or critical care setting.
- CPR (American Heart Association) certification and ACLS required within 6 months of hire/transfer date.
- EKG required within 90 days of hire/transfer date.
