Job Overview

Bakery On Maple LLC is seeking a skilled and creative Baker to join our team. As a key member of our bakery staff, you will be responsible for designing, executing, and improving recipes to provide excellent baked items and service in an efficient and professional manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Recipe Development: Design and improve recipes to meet customer demands and preferences.
  • Bakery Operations: Measure and combine ingredients, use mixers, blenders, heat sources, and other equipment to produce high-quality baked goods, such as cookies, bread, cakes, and pastries.
  • Product Presentation: Decorate and display finished products to enhance their visual appeal.
  • Quality Control: Test ingredients and finished goods to ensure they meet food safety and quality standards.
  • Customer Service: Greet customers, answer questions, make recommendations, accept orders and payments, and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Inventory Management: Keep records of deliveries, inventory, and production levels to ensure efficient operations.
  • Delivery and Logistics: Take client information and ensure that deliveries are fulfilled accurately and on time.
  • Cleanliness and Sanitation: Clean and restock workstations, and ensure that all equipment is sanitized and prepared for the next shift.

Requirements:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: More education or experience may be preferred.
  • Skills: Strong communication, time and resource management, and planning skills.
  • Attention to Detail: Attention to detail, especially when performing quality inspections on ingredients and products.
  • Basic Math and Computer Skills: Basic math and computer skills.
  • Teamwork and Flexibility: Willingness to work independently or with other team members to solve problems, plan schedules, fulfill orders, and create amazing baked goods.
  • Availability: Flexibility to work around customer demands, including early morning, night, weekend, and holiday availability.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to work in a hot, hectic environment; stand, walk, bend, use hands and appliances; and lift heavy items for extended periods.
