This role is responsible for overseeing the operations of Nutrition Services across various locations within Corewell Health. The individual will ensure adherence to regulatory standards, develop policies and procedures, and engage in strategic planning and program development. Key duties include fiscal management, resource allocation, and fostering collaborative relationships with essential stakeholders throughout the organization.

Key Responsibilities - Chief of Nutrition Operations

  • Provide strategic leadership and establish goals to enhance operational excellence in alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with service quality standards and local, state, and federal regulations governing Nutrition Services operations.
  • Collaborate in defining success metrics, monitor performance, and ensure departmental goals are achieved.
  • Develop comprehensive business plans for the department.
  • Participate in hospital committees, serving as the primary liaison for Nutrition Services across multiple sites.
  • Manage the annual budget, analyzing financial performance and outcomes.
  • Lead recruitment, training, and development of staff, providing performance evaluations and necessary feedback.
  • Stay informed on industry trends and operational management practices, embodying the mission of Corewell Health.

Qualifications - Chief of Nutrition Operations

  • A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Healthcare Management, Business, or a related field is required.
  • A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, with progressive leadership roles in a comparable organization.
  • Experience in union environments is preferred.

Physical Requirements - Chief of Nutrition Operations

  • Occasional lifting and carrying of weights up to 10 lbs.
  • Frequent sitting, with occasional standing and walking.
  • Ability to perform tasks requiring finger and hand dexterity.

Work Schedule

This position typically operates during standard business hours, Monday through Friday.
