Executive Secretary for Court Reporting

Become a crucial member of Business Support Services of Salem's team as an Executive Secretary for Court Reporting. This role requires providing verbatim reporting of Social Security hearings for the Office of Hearings Operations (OHO).
Key Responsibilities:- Ensure proper recording equipment setup to capture testimony from attendees.
- Produce accurate and complete transcripts/recording of administrative hearings.
- Gather and distribute exhibits and supporting materials during hearings.
- Provide administrative support as needed.
The responsibilities listed above are not exhaustive, and the incumbent may be required to perform additional duties.
Requirements:- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of English grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
- Familiarity with operating various office equipment, such as copiers and fax machines.
- Ability to maintain professional relationships with colleagues, clients, and the public.
- Capacity to follow verbal and written instructions accurately.
- Maintain confidentiality, professionalism, and a positive demeanor at all times.
- Punctuality and trustworthiness are essential.
- Reliable transportation is necessary.
- Self-motivation is key to success in this role.
- A printer/scanner at home (capable of scanning PDFs) is required.
- Knowledge of legal or medical terminology is beneficial but not mandatory.
- Organize and maintain accurate files and records.
We offer training opportunities, and prior experience as a VHR is not necessary.
