Position Overview:

We are in search of a skilled Interior Construction Estimator with a robust background in estimating interior construction projects. Additional experience in ground-up construction will be regarded as a significant advantage. The successful candidate will be tasked with preparing precise cost estimates, managing bid submissions, and collaborating closely with project teams to ensure the effective execution of intricate and high-profile assignments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Estimate & Bid Management: Develop comprehensive cost estimates for a diverse array of interior construction projects, including multifamily high-rises, educational facilities, recreational centers, retail spaces, office buildings, hotels, healthcare facilities, industrial complexes, and casinos. Scrutinize and evaluate bid proposals from subcontractors and suppliers to ensure compliance with project specifications and budgetary constraints. Experience in estimating for ground-up construction will enhance your application.
  • Project Collaboration & Documentation: Collaborate with project managers, architects, and clients to define project scopes, identify cost-saving opportunities, and align estimates with overall project objectives. Maintain meticulous records of all estimates, bids, and related documentation to facilitate seamless project execution.
  • Cost Analysis & Market Research: Conduct thorough cost analyses and provide value engineering recommendations. Stay informed on industry trends, pricing, and market conditions to ensure competitive and accurate estimates that cater to various project types.
  • Client Interaction & Presentation: Engage in client meetings to present and discuss estimates, budgets, and project timelines, ensuring clear communication and understanding of project financials while fostering strong client relationships.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as an Interior Construction Estimator; additional ground-up experience is a plus.
  • A bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proficiency in estimating software.
  • A strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and methods specific to both interior and ground-up construction.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in cost estimates and analyses.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with the capacity to make informed decisions under pressure.
  • Able to work collaboratively in a team environment as well as independently when necessary.
