We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Retail Sales Associate to join our team at Theisen Home Farm Auto in Dubuque, IA. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, providing product knowledge, and driving sales growth.

Job Summary

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for greeting customers, answering questions, and making recommendations to drive sales. Additionally, you will assist with store operations, including receiving and stocking merchandise, processing transactions, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment.

To be successful in this role, you must be able to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on providing outstanding customer service. You will be expected to maintain a high level of productivity and accuracy, while also meeting sales targets and achieving company goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring that every customer interaction is positive and memorable.
  • Develop and maintain product knowledge, including features, benefits, and pricing information.
  • Assist customers with purchasing decisions, making recommendations and resolving any issues or concerns.
  • Process transactions accurately and efficiently, handling cash, credit card payments, and returns.
  • Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including receiving and stocking merchandise, cleaning floors and displays, and taking out trash.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve sales targets and meet company goals.
Requirements:
  • 1-2 years of retail experience, preferably in a sales or customer-facing role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds, stand for long periods, and move quickly around the store.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound judgments.
  • Basic math skills, with the ability to handle cash, process transactions, and manage inventory.
