Role Summary
  • Administer healthcare services utilizing Radionuclides for diagnostic or therapeutic purposes.
  • Conduct Nuclear Medicine procedures and associated techniques to generate images for analysis by licensed medical professionals.
  • Ensure optimal patient care and recognize critical patient conditions essential for the successful execution of procedures.
Key Responsibilities
  • Exhibit the knowledge and skills necessary to deliver age-appropriate care.
  • Execute procedures to uphold quality patient care in alignment with Radiologist's standards and protocols.
  • Comply with National Patient Safety objectives.
  • Identify and report any compliance-related issues.
  • Engage in quality assurance initiatives to promote safety and patient satisfaction.
  • Pursue ongoing professional development and education to enhance technical skills.
  • Follow standard precautions and personal protective equipment (PPE) guidelines consistently.
  • Maintain adherence to regulatory requirements and current licensure.

  • Contribute to the efficient functioning of the department and optimal resource utilization.
  • Demonstrate competence in operating equipment within the designated area.

Qualifications

Education / Certification / Licensure (required & preferred):


• Graduate from an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program

• Maintain certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Nuclear Medicine Technology (N) or certification from the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) upon hire

• Valid State of Kentucky License required

• Obtain BLS certification within 30 days of employment.
