We are seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Medicine Specialist to join our team at CHI Saint Joseph Medical Group. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and performing complex nuclear medicine procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Provide health care services, applying radionuclides to assist in diagnosis or treatment.
- Perform nuclear medicine procedures and related techniques to produce images for interpretation by licensed practitioners.
- Provide appropriate patient care and recognize patient conditions essential for successful completion of procedures.
- Demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of patients served.
- Perform procedures to ensure quality patient care in accordance with radiologist's expectations and protocols.
- Display knowledge and comply with national patient safety goals.
- Support and report any identified compliance matters.
- Participate in hospital and department quality assurance programs to ensure safety and satisfaction.
- Maintain professional development and education for technical competency.
- Use standard precautions and PPE at all times.
- Maintain regulatory compliance and licensure for current position.
- Attend all required educational programs and learn modules.
- Contribute to the efficient operation and monitoring of the department and utilize resources efficiently.
- Demonstrate complete working knowledge of equipment within assigned area.
- Knowledge and performance of the code of conduct standards.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Graduate of an accredited school of nuclear medicine technology.
- Possess and maintain certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in nuclear medicine technology (N), or certification by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) upon hire into position.
- State of Kentucky license required.
- BLS within 30 days of employment.
