We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Instrumentation Specialist to join our team at Sargent & Lundy, a renowned engineering firm specializing in Nuclear Power. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on major process controls engineering projects, expanding your expertise in Digital Systems, Functional Requirement, and Procurement Specifications.

In this position, you will have the chance to work with cutting-edge technologies, including PLC, DCS, Touchscreen displays, network switches, and control systems. You will also be responsible for developing P&ID's and System Design Descriptions, attending client meetings, and performing site walkdowns.

With a strong background in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, you will bring essential skills and experience to our team, including a minimum of 5 years of experience in design engineering for process control systems and knowledge of available equipment and proven pre-engineered systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop process controls engineering projects for nuclear power plants
  • Develop P&ID's and System Design Descriptions
  • Attend client meetings and perform site walkdowns
  • Provide guidance as a mentor in the development of less experienced nuclear instrumentation and controls design engineers

Requirements:

  • BS or MS in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from an ABET Engineering Accreditation Commission-approved program
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in design engineering for process control systems
  • Experience with controls system design, including applications for low and medium voltage distribution systems and controls for equipment

Salary Range: $101,000 - $120,000 per year
