In this role, reporting to the Senior Manager of Operational Risk, the Operational Risk & Vendor Analyst will play a crucial part in the Second Line of Defense risk management framework, adhering to U.S. regulations, banking policies, and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the management of the Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) Program by collaborating with first and second-line teams to identify and evaluate risks.
  • Engage with various departments to develop process diagrams for each function, identifying key operational risks and mitigation strategies.
  • Create reports for internal stakeholders and governance committees on a regular and ad-hoc basis.
  • Assist in gathering Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to operational risks.
  • Ensure the integrity of data reported through RCSAs and KPIs, aligning with established taxonomies (e.g., process, control, risk).
  • Facilitate the quarterly RCSA review and challenge process.
  • Contribute to special projects aimed at enhancing the Operational Risk Management Framework.
  • Evaluate new business initiatives and acquisitions to assess their impact on the operational risk profile.
  • Maintain comprehensive risk mapping of operational processes and system assessments, including change management evaluations.
  • Collaborate with first-line teams to develop daily risk management metrics that quantify exposure to various operational risks.
  • Assist in the development of a robust Vendor Risk framework and conduct annual vendor risk assessments.
  • Implement a structured approach to evaluate potential vendors and service providers.
  • Analyze collected data to assess the overall risk profile of third parties.
  • Report on vendor risk across multiple dimensions (e.g., information security, financial, geographic).
  • Coordinate Vendor Risk Assessments in collaboration with subject matter experts and vendor managers.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in risk management or vendor management.
  • At least 3 years of foundational experience in enterprise operational risk management.
  • 3+ years of experience with second-line frameworks related to operational or vendor risk management.
  • Willingness to work on-site as required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or 5+ years of experience in operational risk management or vendor risk management.
  • 3+ years of experience in assessing vendor/third-party risks during onboarding processes.
  • 2+ years of experience with eGRC Archer.
  • Experience in developing materials and reports for senior management and executive committees.
  • Strong understanding of risk management policies and best practices (certifications preferred).
  • Proven skills in relationship management, including engaging stakeholders, customers, and vendors.
