Position Overview:

System One is looking for a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer (Civil-Arch) to join our team. This role involves leading quality initiatives on complex projects to ensure compliance with both customer expectations and our stringent quality standards.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide support for Quality Systems utilizing the ISO 9001 Standard to enhance process development, procedure formulation, data analysis, and Quality Systems training.
  • Engage with senior management regarding ISO 9000 process enhancements and reengineering efforts.
  • Participate in client pre-bid, bidding, and contract preparation activities.
  • Plan and execute necessary audit functions, including scheduling, reporting, and resolution of findings.
  • Conduct thorough Internal Quality Audits across various projects and job sites, ensuring compliance with our standards and applicable regulations.
  • Facilitate both internal and external Quality audits, providing management with comprehensive results.
  • Document, track, and resolve corrective actions stemming from audit findings, analyzing trends and performance metrics.
  • Manage qualification audits for suppliers to ensure adherence to our quality program and client requirements.
  • Review design documentation for compliance with established quality requirements, including vendor quality manuals.
  • Promote safety awareness and participate in safety audits and assessments as necessary.
  • Collaborate in the development and maintenance of Quality Policies, Processes, and Procedures.
  • Review and approve quality-related documents prepared by internal or external entities.
  • Work closely with management to coordinate Quality activities with various stakeholders.
  • Utilize advanced statistical process control techniques.
  • Provide mentorship and training to junior Quality personnel.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications:

4-6 years of experience with a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, Quality discipline, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Candidates with 8+ years of relevant experience without a Bachelor's degree will also be considered.

Certifications such as Lead Auditor (ISO 9001 or equivalent), ASQ Certification (CMQ/OE, CQA, CQE), or other relevant credentials are required.

Experience with welding and metal structures is preferred.


Preferred Qualifications:

A degree or equivalent experience in mechanical or electrical engineering (MEP) is advantageous.

Membership in a recognized Quality organization is a plus.

Additional certifications may include Building Inspector, NQA-1 (nuclear auditor), NDT (ASNT), and a broad understanding of various industries such as infrastructure, government, aviation, process, or transportation.


Additional Information:

This position operates Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM. It is a long-term contract role with competitive pay and benefits, including a 401k plan.
