BHC Consultants is a leading consulting engineering firm with offices in Seattle, Tacoma, and Bellingham. We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Engineering Intern to join our team in 2025.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, including water, surface water, and wastewater utility projects. They will assist in preparing calculations, drawings, specifications, and planning documents, as well as support the preparation of engineering reports and comprehensive plans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform basic engineering assignments, including preparing calculations, drawings, and specifications.
  • Support the preparation of engineering reports and comprehensive plans.
  • Utilize engineering software modeling and analysis tools.
  • Research and analyze regulations and available infrastructure technologies and products.
  • Perform field work, including technology pilot testing and construction observation.

Requirements:

  • Actively enrolled in an accredited Civil Engineering or related undergraduate or graduate program.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with hydraulic modeling products, such as Innovyze, Bentley, and/or Visual Hydraulics, is preferred.
  • Completed coursework in fluid dynamics, water/wastewater treatment, hydrology, and water chemistry is preferred.
