Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced RN (New Grad RN) Acute Rehab professional to join our team at West Penn Hospital. As a key member of our rehabilitation unit, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, promoting a safe and supportive environment, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced setting, leveraging your clinical expertise and leadership skills to drive positive change.

About the Role
As a Registered Nurse on our acute rehab unit, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population, including those with strokes, spinal cord injuries, LVADs, traumatic brain injuries, and burn victims. Our state-of-the-art facility features 33 patient beds, with access to physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy services. You will be expected to provide individualized patient care, develop and implement personalized treatment plans, and collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless transitions and optimal patient outcomes. Responsibilities
* Provide direct patient care, assessing patient needs, developing and implementing comprehensive treatment plans, and evaluating patient progress
* Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care, ensuring timely and effective communication and transfers
* Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of best practices and evidence-based protocols
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare teams, fostering open communication and trust
* Stay up-to-date with industry developments, attending workshops, conferences, and training sessions to enhance clinical knowledge and skills

Requirements
* Current State of PA RN licensure or multi-state licensure through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC)
* Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate, Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate, and Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
* CPR certification and basic life support training
* Minimum 1-2 years of experience in acute rehab or similar settings preferred
