Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Sales and Service Representative at Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens. As a key member of our Front of House team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, operating our Toast POS system, and maintaining a clean and organized retail environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner, responding to their needs and resolving any issues in a timely and efficient manner.
  • POS Operations: Accurately operate our Toast POS system, handling cash, credit card transactions, and managing inventory.
  • Store Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized retail environment, restocking merchandise and supplies as needed.
  • Product Knowledge: Develop and maintain knowledge of our products and services, including food offerings, beverages, and snacks.
  • Teamwork: Collaborate with colleagues to achieve sales goals and provide excellent customer service.
Requirements
  • Customer Service Experience: Previous experience in a customer-facing role, with a strong focus on providing excellent service.
  • POS Experience: Previous experience using a POS system, preferably Toast.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers and colleagues.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, supporting colleagues and contributing to a positive work environment.
  • Adaptability: Flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and respond to changing situations.
Working Conditions
  • Physical Demands: Ability to stand for long periods, bend, stoop, and reach, with occasional use of a stepstool.
  • Environmental Factors: Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment, with exposure to varying temperatures and humidity levels.
