Job Summary:

Pape-Dawson Engineers is seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineer III - Land Development Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our land development team, you will be responsible for applying engineering principles to design infrastructure for site and commercial/residential land development projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist Project Managers in producing project plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
  • Develop feasible design alternatives and compare significant parameters such as typical sections, horizontal and vertical alignments, right-of-way requirements, and cost.
  • Identify and analyze principal design features and major design alternatives that satisfy the project's purpose and need.
  • Use computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to prepare engineering and design documents.
  • Prepare written technical reports and engineering studies using approved company format.
  • Direct production work of technicians.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in civil or agricultural engineering from an ABET-accredited college or university.
  • 3 years' experience in civil design - site, commercial, and/or residential design.
  • Familiarity with engineering principles, techniques, and procedures.
  • Experience using computer-aided design techniques.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees, clients, and public agencies.
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D and MS Office Suite.
  • Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Reliability and dependability.
