Job Title: Principal/Sr. Principal Systems Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Principal/Sr. Principal Systems Engineer to join our team at Northrop Grumman. As a key member of our Engineering and Sciences organization, you will be responsible for leading the development of complex electronic warfare systems, working closely with a multi-disciplinary team to design, develop, and sustain optimized product lines across the sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of system requirements, architectures, and designs, ensuring adherence to military standards and regulations.
  • Oversee the integration testing of system incremental releases and troubleshoot system failures and performance issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify, document, and mitigate program risks.
  • Support the use of key processes, such as configuration management, and review system change requests.
  • Develop and maintain program plans, including the Systems Engineering Plan (SEP) and the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS).

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM discipline with 5 or more years of engineering experience, or Master of Science degree in a STEM discipline with 3 or more years of engineering experience, or PhD with 0 years of experience.
  • Experience with RF receiver and RF jamming, software defined radios, encryption systems, and RF test equipment.
  • Ability to travel 10% and obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret Clearance.
  • Experience using mechanical and electrical drawings, component selection for system development, and Windows and Linux operating systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active DoD Top Secret Clearance.
  • Knowledge of Electronic Warfare principles.
  • Familiarity with Agile Development Methodology and Atlassian software development and collaboration tool set (Jira and Confluence).
  • Experience with concurrent hardware and software development, military aircraft avionics, and/or stores.
  • Familiarity with referenced military standards, aircraft safety, supportability, maintainability, and reliability disciplines.

Salary Range: $107,300 - $160,900

Salary Range 2: $133,000 - $199,600
