Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop database schema architectures, including coding and design of stored procedures, foreign keys, and table relationships.
  • Implement and maintain smooth operation of databases, including performance tuning of indexes and databases.
  • Conduct database design reviews and provide recommendations for enhancements and improvements.
  • Formulate policies, procedures, and standards relating to database management.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure seamless integration of systems and databases.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree with 9+ years of relative experience; OR Master's Degree with 7+ years of relative experience or in lieu of a degree, an additional 4+ years of experience is required.
  • Proficiency in systems and database management, including experience with Microsoft SQL Server and PostgreSQL.
  • Familiarity with database management best practices and experience implementing database schema architectures.
  • Strong verbal communication and customer service skills in a teamwork environment.
  • US Citizenship and must have Interim Secret clearance prior to starting. Once started, must have the ability to obtain and maintain Secret clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working in a containerized environment with Docker, Kubernetes, etc.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate within the NGC various sites as well as with customers.
  • Experience with high-level coding languages such as C#, C++, PowerShell, VBA, etc.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps / TFS and Git.
