Assistant Superintendent Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Superintendent to support the construction of multi-unit residential and commercial buildings. The successful candidate will assist the Superintendent in managing sub-contractors, coordinating schedules, and ensuring that projects are completed on-time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Superintendent in managing all aspects of the construction process, including coordinating schedules, managing sub-contractors, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
  • Review project plans and specifications, and ensure that all work is completed in accordance with these documents.
  • Maintain accurate records of project progress, including daily logs, photographs, and weekly reports.
  • Communicate with the project team, including architects, engineers, and sub-contractors, to ensure that all work is completed to a high standard.
  • Assist with the resolution of any issues that arise during construction, and work with the Superintendent to ensure that projects are completed on-time and within budget.
Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in construction, ideally in multi-unit residential or commercial building projects.
  • Experience working as an Assistant Superintendent will be an added advantage.
  • Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with a team.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Valid driver's license is required.
