Critical Care Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Critical Care Nurse to join our team at Emory University Hospital. As a Critical Care Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to critically ill patients in our Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CICU).
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient care and ensure seamless transitions.
- Monitor and manage patient's vital signs, lab results, and other relevant data to inform care decisions.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- 12 months of recent nursing experience within the past five years or recent completion of a re-entry nursing program.
- Valid, active unencumbered Nursing license or temporary permit approved by the Georgia Licensing Board.
- BLS certification required and ACLS may be required in designated departments.
- Experience working in a critical care setting.
- Knowledge of critical care nursing principles and practices.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
