About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Product Owner to join our team at Precise Systems (MD). As a key member of our Counter small Unmanned Aerial Systems (C-sUAS) Electromagnetic Warfare (EW) web application development team, you will be responsible for working with stakeholders and the project lead to develop sprint tasking and communicate development needs between the project lead and the development team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Refine the Sprint Backlog: Collaborate with stakeholders and the project lead to create and refine the sprint backlog for the web development project.
  • Interview Stakeholders and Project Lead: Conduct interviews with stakeholders and the project lead to gain insight into product needs and features.
  • Convey Customer Needs: Communicate customer needs to the development team in the form of sprint tickets.
  • Work with Project Lead: Collaborate with the project lead to define timelines and plan future sprints.
  • Maintain Sprint Metrics: Track and maintain sprint metrics, and perform sprint planning and review meetings.
  • Adhere to SCRUM Principles: Work within the principles of SCRUM to ensure efficient and effective project management.
  • Provide Suggestions for Project Improvement: Offer suggestions for project improvement and highlight developer needs to the project lead.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Project Management, Information Technology, or equivalent, and 2+ years of prior relevant experience, or Master's degree with direct experience.
  • Project Management Experience: Proven experience in project management, with a focus on product ownership and development.
  • Product Owner Experience: Experience in product ownership, with a focus on working with stakeholders and development teams.
  • Excellent Communication and Team Working Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Desired Qualifications
  • Technical Background: Experience managing a containerized web application, with a technical background to estimate time to completion and technical steps needed for sprint planning.
  • Ability to Work Independently: Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision, and perform independent research to determine unknown aspects of project tasking.
  • Ability to Work with Limited Initial Information: Ability to work with limited initial information, and adapt to changing project requirements.
  • Advanced Certified Scrum Product Owner Certification: Strongly desired, but not required.
Security Clearance

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. Due to the sensitivity of customer-related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
