Overview:
The Materials Coordinator plays a crucial role in supporting manufacturing operations by overseeing inventory management, maintaining stock levels, and ensuring accurate inventory records. This position is integral to logistics, facilitating the receipt of products into inventory and the delivery of materials to the production area.

The role encompasses material handling responsibilities, utilizing equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts for efficient storage and movement of products.

Key Responsibilities:

Ensuring smooth production and distribution processes by pulling orders from inventory, delivering necessary materials and supplies, and staging finished products for distribution.

  • Maintain meticulous records and accuracy in inventory management systems.
  • Contribute to the organized operation of stock and materials storage areas.
  • Monitor inventory levels by identifying, labeling, and keeping materials stocked, while also documenting inventory locations and reporting shortages.
  • Locate and verify materials and supplies based on pick lists.
  • Manage in-process inventory at workstations by addressing shortages and fulfilling floor stock needs.
  • Document the delivery of materials and track the location of units.
  • Prepare materials for shipping by packing, crating, loading, and securing products.
  • Handle returns to stock by verifying part numbers and quantities.
  • Conduct pre-use inspections and minor repairs on material-handling equipment.
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other machinery for moving materials.
  • Maintain cleanliness in inventory and loading areas, as well as in machinery.
  • Adhere to workplace safety regulations.
Technical Skills:
Experience with Dynamics 365 software is advantageous.
Proficient in using desktop copiers/scanners for document management.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.

Work Environment:
This position operates within a warehouse setting.

The role routinely involves the use of standard office equipment such as computers, printers, and phones, along with operating forklifts and pallet jacks.

Physical Requirements:
Must be capable of bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, and climbing as part of job duties.

Employees should be able to lift, carry, push, and pull materials weighing up to 50 pounds, with heavier weights managed using appropriate equipment.


Qualifications:
A high school diploma or GED is required.
A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are necessary.
Preferred: 1+ years of experience in inventory control.
Previous experience operating forklifts or pallet jacks is a plus.
