Procurement Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team at LHH Recruitment Solutions. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for implementing procurement strategies to optimize supply chain efficiency.

• Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize supply chain efficiency
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their purchasing needs and requirements
• Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their capabilities and offerings
• Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers to ensure favorable terms for the organization
• Monitor supplier performance and address any issues or concerns that may arise
• Manage inventory levels to ensure adequate stock availability while minimizing excess inventory
• Collaborate with production planning and purchasing teams to ensure timely delivery of materials
• Manage freight logistics issues in working directly with a broker for shipping-related needs, on-time delivery, etc.
• Ensure compliance with federal acquisition regulations and other relevant guidelines
• Conduct root cause analysis to identify and address any supply chain disruptions or quality issues

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field; experience in manufacturing plant is a plus
• Proven experience in procurement, supply chain management, or a related role
• Strong knowledge of materials management, category management, and contract management principles
• Familiarity with quality management systems and root cause analysis techniques
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills
• Proficient in using procurement software and tools
• Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment

$55,000.00 to $58,000.00 per year
