Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Automotive Technician to join our team at Bertrandt Group. As a key member of our engineering test and development team, you will be responsible for performing detailed inspections and repairs of test vehicles, as well as providing technical support for visiting test groups.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance of test vehicles as defined
  • Provide full vehicle support for entire concern test vehicles as requested
  • Assist in maintaining workshop tool, tire, and service part inventory
  • Provide technical support for visiting test groups
  • Install, remove, and maintain data logging equipment for information gathering from vehicles
  • Inspect assigned vehicles
  • Receive parts from Germany and other stations
  • Sample and collect fluids with full documentation
  • Maintain and update engineering tools such as iDEX, Diagra, ODIS, and CP Tool
  • Prepare vehicles for scrapping
  • Prepare vehicles for rotation for external drivers
Requirements
  • 3-5 years automotive background & technical experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Automotive vocational technical training Dealership product training
  • Certificate in Automotive Technology
  • At least two ASE Certifications
  • Valid driver's license with good DMV record
  • Basic ability with Microsoft Office applications
  • Highly organized and dependable
  • Ability to work well independently and with minimal supervision
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience working as a Technician in an Engineering Test and Development Environment
  • Diagnostic experience including VAS testers
  • Self-organized
  • Organize and maintain a clean work environment
  • Resource management
  • German and/or Spanish language skills
  • Forklift certification and operation
