Job Title: Senior Accounting Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accounting Manager to join our team at Balance Claims. As a key member of our accounting department, you will be responsible for managing various accounting functions, including ledger maintenance, accounts payable, accounts receivable, revenue and asset accounting, as well as associated analysis and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and accounting standards, including GAAP.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Lead and direct accounting professionals and support staff, including subordinate supervisors.
  • Manage subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs.
  • Ensure that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets.

Requirements:

  • BA Degree in Accounting or related field.
  • 5+ years related experience, including 1-3 years supervisory experience.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification preferred.

The physical and mental demands of this position are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job in an office environment. Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times. Must be able to effectively communicate with teammates.
