Role Summary
In the position of Community Support Specialist, you will be instrumental in assisting individuals with developmental disabilities within our Habilitation Services program, concentrating on fostering independent living skills both in residential settings and within the community.

Key Responsibilities:
- Designing personalized life skills programs for individuals, encompassing cooking, household management, and social interaction.
- Executing goal-oriented services in accordance with participants' Individualized Service Plans.
- Conducting evaluations to customize services based on individual skills and preferences.
- Establishing a nurturing learning atmosphere for adult learners.
- Meeting both physical and mental job requirements.
- Complying with Agency, Program, and NYS OPWDD guidelines and regulations.
Qualifications & Experience
A high school diploma is mandatory, with a preference for candidates who have experience working with individuals with disabilities. If you lack experience, express your interest, and we will provide the necessary training.
Essential Skills & Competencies
We are looking for candidates with strong communication abilities, effective time management, critical thinking skills, proficiency in technology, and both written and verbal communication skills.
