Job Summary:

Kaiser Permanente seeks a highly skilled and experienced Senior Registered Nurse to lead our healthcare team. As a key member of our department, you will be responsible for coordinating operations, ensuring quality patient care, and promoting a safe and healing environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leadership: Direct, review, assign, and organize the work of at least three employees, ensuring efficient delivery of patient care and department activities.
  • Nursing Process: Serve as a resource for clinical concerns, scope of practice, and operational concerns of providers and staff.
  • Documentation: Conduct audits and ensure that documentation reflects thorough assessments, incorporates physical and psychosocial findings, diagnostic tests, learning needs, barriers, and multidisciplinary education plans.
  • Clinical Outcomes: Participate in various aspects of department operations, including staff competencies, department committees, Unit-Based Teams, new projects, quality efforts, and Clinical Strategic Goal activities.
  • Workplace Safety: Adjust and identify staffing needs to ensure quality patient care, patient and staff safety, efficiency, productivity, and working conditions.
  • Patient Care Experience/Customer Service: Act as a role model for staff by providing a patient care experience that exceeds member expectations.
  • Team Commitment: Ensure support of the collaborative Labor-Management Partnership environment through unit-based teams and motivate staff to attain their fullest potential.
  • Fiscal Responsibility: Participate in resource allocation, including assignments, scheduling, staffing, equipment, and supplies management.
Requirements:
  • Experience as a Registered Nurse with a strong background in leadership and clinical expertise.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex issues.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on quality patient care and safety.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements, policies, and procedures related to nursing practice.
