Job Summary:

Discovery Isle Preschool is seeking a qualified Preschool Teacher to join our team. As a Preschool Teacher, you will be responsible for the coordination of classroom operations, including the implementation of our proprietary literacy-based curriculum.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and coordinate classroom operations, including the implementation of our proprietary curriculum.
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to the needs and interests of students.
  • Collaborate with fellow staff members, school administration, families, and the community to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
  • Provide a safe and nurturing environment that promotes social, emotional, and cognitive development in young children.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians to ensure a smooth transition between home and school.

Requirements:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Complies with all company and state-specific standards and maintains validation of required credentials for the position.
  • Complies with all state-specific education requirements.
  • Must have one of the following:
    • 12 Units in Early Childhood Education
    • High School Diploma or GED and some experience with children.

Working Conditions:

This position requires an individual to frequently walk, stand, sit, squat, stoop, reach, kneel, rise from the floor, twist, listen, read, write, and speak the English language. The position also requires an individual to carry, lift, use repetitive or fine hand movements, and occasionally push, pull, or bend.
