We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Summer Sessions team as a Student Affairs Coordinator.

  • Our Summer Sessions program offers over 250 courses in a diverse range of subjects, allowing students to explore new interests or get ahead in their studies while spending the summer living and learning in Washington, D.C.

Our Summer Sessions program provides students with the opportunity to engage in academic, social, and cultural experiences that foster personal growth and development. We strive to create an inclusive and supportive environment that promotes academic excellence and social responsibility.

Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of $17.65 per hour for up to 40 hours of work per week, plus a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance, retirement savings, tuition assistance, and work-life balance benefits.

Responsibilities

You will assist with daily operations, including rooming assignments, floor rosters, and housing changes. You will also help with event planning, coordination, and execution for our Summer College Immersion Program (SCIP) and other summer events.

  • You will work closely with the Director of Student Affairs, Assistant Dean of Student Affairs, Summer Hoya Residential Team, campus partners, and other members of the SCS Summer and Special Programs team.
  • You will serve as a liaison with the Office of Residential Living and ensure smooth communication between teams.
  • You will assist in purchasing for Summer High School Sessions and work with outside vendors and on-campus partners.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • A Bachelor's degree and currently pursuing a Master's Degree in higher education, student affairs, or a similar field.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience creating and managing Excel and Google Sheets.
