About the Role

We are seeking a part-time User Support Specialist to join our team at Penn State Great Valley's Information Technology Support (ITS) Help Desk department. As a User Support Specialist, you will provide computer support to the Penn State Great Valley campus community over the phone, in person, and via email. You will be responsible for troubleshooting hardware and workstation problems, learning and testing new applications and AV systems, and supporting AV for some conferencing events.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support to staff, faculty, students, and external clients
  • Troubleshoot hardware and workstation problems
  • Learn and test new applications and AV systems
  • Support AV for some conferencing events
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Experience working in various technical environments
  • Ability to work 10-24 hours a week, Monday through Thursday (preferably in the evenings) and some Saturdays
