Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with the Safety and Health Manager to implement policies and programs that meet Nestle Purina PetCare Safety Programs and Loss Control objectives.
- Provide training and ensure proper communication at all levels of the plant to achieve full preparation in the Safety and Health programs and compliance with Federal, State, and Local Government regulations.
- Act as a resource to all departments in the plant to provide safety and loss control support.
- Develop and implement processes and procedures to ensure Site compliance with company and regulatory agency policies, including federal, state and local legislation and regulations pertaining to Safety and Health.
- Analyze SH&E conditions and behaviors and recommend changes to continuously improve Site SH&E performance.
- Routinely walk Projects, Contractor work sites, and areas where maintenance is being performed to ensure safety compliance per OSHA regulations.
- Administer training programs associated with safety and health, including train the trainer sessions to build capability of line supervision.
- Coordinate and conduct Industrial Hygiene monitoring as needed according to schedule.
- High School diploma or GED required.
- 3+ years experience in a safety role in production, manufacturing, agriculture, industrial, military or related environment.
