About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Gas Turbine Engine Assembler to join our team at HQ Aero Management Inc.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform assembly and disassembly of gas turbine engines, modules, and subassemblies.
  • Follow detailed work instructions, including operation sheets, blueprints, and engineering bulletins.
  • Use precision measuring instruments and gages to check and calculate assembly dimensions.
  • Make adjustments to tools and equipment as necessary to perform the work.
  • Visually inspect parts, subassemblies, and engine sections for proper identification, condition, and installation.
  • Check build records for correctness and completeness, and enter required data on engine history record sheets.
  • Perform mechanical duties to assist on co-producer, customer support, and retrofit projects.
  • Assist in identifying problem areas and recommending corrective actions to expedite the resolution of assembly or tooling problems.
  • Utilize established methods and procedures to perform visual and dimensional inspection to verify the proper assembly of modules and sub-assemblies.
  • Perform bench inspection of overhaul detail parts to identify nonconformance.
  • Coordinate parts for processing through overhaul or repair operations.
Requirements
  • Comprehensive knowledge of gas turbine engine construction, test operation, related inspection and assembly methods, machine shop practices, and overhaul and repair procedures.
  • Understanding of related fields to perform all manual and technical operations and deal with various aspects of diversified problems.
  • Ability to follow general instructions using complex drawings, advanced shop mathematics, and precision measuring tools.
  • Four years of trades training in a specialized field, achieving A&P license or equivalent.
  • Two years of relevant experience.
  • US Citizenship due to government contracts.
  • Engine test experience is preferred.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • Criminal Background Check and compliance with FAA Drug and Alcohol screening checks are mandatory.
Working Conditions
  • Mathematical ability to perform and/or understand calculations used in assigned areas.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical data.
  • Competently uses computers and other systems to access, maintain, and manipulate data.
  • Physical demands include occasional lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds, frequent walking, standing, and/or climbing.
  • Work environment: FAR Part 145 aircraft maintenance in a hangar and ramp environment.
