Key Responsibilities- Engine Assembly and Repair: Disassemble and assemble various engine components, sub-assemblies, and engines in the repair and overhaul area.
- Technical Documentation: Work from manuals, service bulletins, and other technical instructions to ensure accurate and efficient engine maintenance.
- Quality Control: Function as an assembler to ensure standard work and best practices are accomplished while meeting daily targets and supporting overall operations initiatives.
- Adherence to Regulations: Adhere to general work rules and company policies and procedures applicable to work area and job functions.
- Powerplant License: Must possess a valid powerplant license or have previously held the position.
- Specialized Training: 2+ years of specialized training in maintenance, assembly, or test of gas turbine engines or similar aircraft systems.
- Experience with Turbofan Engines: Prior experience working on turbofan engines is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of Aircraft Engine Assembly Procedures: Knowledge of aircraft engine assembly procedures, including fits and tolerances, use of precision measuring instruments and gauges, hand tools, special assembly equipment, and the ability to work from complicated drawings and specifications.
- Local Candidates Preferred: Local candidates are preferred, but we welcome applications from qualified candidates nationwide.
- Education and Certifications: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. Standard aviation tool kit and compliance with FAA drug and alcohol screening checks are mandatory.
- Physical Demands: The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and the position requires frequent walking, standing, and/or climbing.
- Work Environment: The work environment is an aircraft maintenance hangar and ramp area.
